ABOUT US
Our church has a Pentecostal heritage with its beginning tracing the New Testament book of Acts. The word Pentecost means fifty which was a time of celebration for completion of the grain harvest in Israel. The Day of Pentecost is connected to the outpouring of the gift of the Holy Spirit in Acts 2 and therefore is the day on which the New Testament church was born. God continues to pour out His Spirit to this present day.

The Existence,Perfection, and Nature of God: We believe that there is one God, who is Spirit, and that there is no god before, after, or beside Him. He is eternal in existence, perfectly holy in nature, and sovereign over the universe. He created all, upholds all, and governs all. (Isa. 43:10-11)

The Inspiration and Authority of Scripture: We believe that the Holy Scripture as contained in the Old and New Testaments of the bible are given by the inspiration of God as our infalliable rule of faith and practice. (II Tim. 3:15-17; I Thes. 2:13; II Pet. 1:21)

The Person and Work of Jesus Christ: We believe that Jesus Christ is God, who robed Himself in flesh, was conceived by the Holy Ghost, and born of a virgin birth. He died a substitutionary atoning death for our sins; ascended into heaven, and offers intercession for us continually. (Zech 12:10; Matt. 1:23; St. John 1:14; Heb. 1:3;)

The Holy Spirit and Work in Regeneration and Justification: We believe that the redemptive work of Christ on the cross is absolutely essential for personal salvation; through faith and repentance. We experience true salvation, whereby we are declared righteous by faith, through the new birth experience. We are born again by the water (baptism by immersion in Jesus name) and the Spirit (infilling of the Holy Ghost with the manifestation of tongues), which is essential to conversion and sanctification, whereby the believer is empowered to be an effective witness for Christ and live a holy and separated life in this present world. (St. John 3:3-7, Acts 2:38; Rom. 6:3-16; Matt. 28:19-20; Acts 1:8)

The Return of Christ for the Church: We believe in the return of Christ to raise the dead, judge the world, consummate His kindgdom, and bestow eternal blessings on those declared righteous by faith through the new birth experience - This is the hope of the Church. (Acts 1:10-11; I Cor. 15:51-52; I Thes. 4:16-18)

Bruce E. Curry is a dedicated pastor with over 18 years of ministry experience, committed to spreading Jesus's message of faith, hope, and love. He serves as the lead pastor at The Tabernacle TLC, where he passionately delivers sermons, provides spiritual guidance, and fosters a welcoming community for all. With a heart for outreach, Pastor Curry leads various programs, including mentorship, marriage counseling, and community giving. His compassionate leadership and commitment to biblical teaching inspire those around him to grow in their faith and serve others with kindness and humility.
